Can you please explain what the PP1 process is and what it entails?



Progression Point 1 (PP1) is not applicable to all students. Those students who are studying an MPhil or an MPhil with the possibility of transfer to PhD are those this guidance relates to.

Please read the attached document which will guide you on:
  • When your PP1 should be submitted
  • What the PP1 process will entail, and
  • What should be included within the report and its word length
