Outlook is replacing Gmail for student email.
The email addresses themselves will remain the same and will not change. This is usually in the format of email@example.com
When the new system goes live, emails will only be delivered to the new Outlook account.
During the period from 24th July 2019 - 31st July 2019, emails will go to both accounts when new mailboxes have been created. Internal emails will go to Outlook mail and external emails will go to Google Mail.
This means that emails from staff to student emails addresses will be delivered to the new student Outlook mailbox once it has been created, therefore students should check both Outlook and Google accounts during this period.
You will still be able to access your old Google account after the switch over, but will not receive any new emails in Google after that. You will also not be able to send emails from your old Google account.
