FAQ 1029
I have been invited to an assessment day which includes an interview. How can I prepare?

Preparation is an important factor when attending assessment centres which may include face-to-face interviews, selection tests and group activities with other candidates. Taking some practice tests in advance will allow you to have a go at answering questions in a specified time frame and improve your ability to respond to them quickly. It also gives you an idea of what to expect on the day. Preparing for the interview is equally important; online resources will offer tips and advice on how to answer questions. Have a look at the Careers & Employability Service website for more information.

Prospects and TARGETjobs both have extensive resources on the application process and interviews.

Once you have looked at these, you can request a meeting with one of our advisers for a mock interview or general advice. If you would like to arrange a meeting or mock interview, please login to our online portal, Careersonline using your student username and password. Select Book/Appointments from the toolbar to see what appointments are available.
