To request an extension on your assignment you will need to complete a Mitigating Circumstances form, which is available to download above or a hard copy can be collected from the Student Support Reception or the Student Information Desk. To apply for mitigating circumstances you should:

• Review the criteria
• Complete the mitigating circumstances form in full
• Submit the form or contact us on or before the assessment date
• Obtain and provide appropriate supporting evidence

• By email - mitigation@beds.ac.uk (please email from your student email account)
• Online - Please log an enquiry on SiD Online

The Mitigation Team can take up to two working days to consider your application (it can take longer during busy periods) and the outcome will be emailed to your student email account. Completing the Mitigating Circumstances form incorrectly or missing out any information requested will delay your application.
